Mr & Mrs Brookes - Videographing my first wedding

I filmed my first wedding this July. An extremely exciting experience with it being my first commissioned work and one which was one to be lovely to be a part of. The bride and groom, Chloe and Kelvyn, were very open in what they wanted from their videos. Their main ask was for a 3 minute trailer video for social media uploads and a longer video which captured all other elements of the wedding in more length. With having never done such work, a lot of prep went into this production, many meetings with the clients, attending key events such as wedding rehearsals, location visits etc.
When the day arrived we fully prepared, batteries charged (mine and the cameras) and the shoulder mounts were at the ready. Communication with the fellow photographers (Rebekah Roberts Photography) allowed us to have a pleasurable experience working together to produce shots which will capture the hearts of those involved for a life time. Myself and my filming partner, Rachel, designated specific events in which one would film.
Emily: Guests arriving at church, Groom & best man, close ups during ceremony, speeches, cutting of the cake, first dance, other details.
Rachel: Bride getting ready, confetti shot, candid photoshoot shots, band footage, dolly shoots, first dance.
This allowed me to feel organised on the day. Due to personal commitments editing hasn't begun as of yet, but after reviewing the footage I am so very pleased with how the filming turned out. To create a package which Mr & Mrs Brookes can treasure and reflect fondly on I wanted to make sure that each detail was considered and produced a simple ident for the opening of the videos. For now, that’s you all updated, the work on editing will follow in the next couple of days and I will keep you all posted on it’s progress.
